Well, I'm constantly cold, and I've just really started to take it seriously in the past week.
I went to the beach today with a few friends, and I was wearing pants, sneakers, and a sweatshirt. My friends were joking around and making fun of me, but I knew they were kidding, but one of my friends moms made a comment about me being so cold, and that I should go see a doctor about it, because I could have a disease that makes me this cold.
Tonight I Google searched 'allways cold' and it came up with a few health sites that have a few symptoms of thyroid problems such as being tired all of the time, dizzyness, not being able to think or concentrate sometimes, headaches, etc. Most of those I experience a lot. I get cold constantly and now I'm getting worried about it because of what I read...
So, whats the story? Should I get help?

No, I don't eat meat, I'm vegan.
I'm not going to change that, and I haven't had blood tests yet.

I don't do drugs or alcahol either, christ I'm only 14...

Its a simple blood test, don't freak out. Sounds like your thyroid. One tube of blood and one pill if it is your thyroid. No big deal

Go to the doc and worry about something else

You don't say how old u r? What ur eating habits r like? What kind of climate u live in? When last time had a physical or at least blood test? Go to dr or nearest health dept, clinic in ur area... being cold, poor circulation is not a good thing. Consider after cking wheither ur healthy or not consider some aerobics or cardio excercise but only after dr says it's ok. Start eating dark green veggies, maybe add a good multi vitamin daily? Everyone answers r good.

I just wanted to tell you that you are not alone! I am cold all of the time also! I used to think it was because of my anorexia and bulimia but now that I am well and free from that, I still get cold. Although not as much. Maybe you should seek the advice of your doctor. I love soaking in a tub of hot water. Right now it's scorching hot outside and I've got fleece pants on! Hopefully we'll be okay. Good luck my fellow friend / eskimo!!

Two years ago, I had these very symptoms. Come to find out from the health dept. I was severely anemic - i take very high doses of prescription iron. I ocassionally still get a chill, but for the most part the symptoms are gone. Make an apointment w/ your dr. or have your parents take you to the health dept.

Have your thyroid checked. You will more than likely find that it is underactive, which can be helped quite simply. It could also be a sign of Anemia. A simple blood test can tell you whether or not this is the case.

you could have aneamia...but recently i was reading the funnies in a newspaper. about garfield at the vets. he started explaining a sickness to this dog and everything he said the dog suddenly had. when the dog was only there for a check-up. point being- you could be aniemic or something worse...but everybody has a tendency to forget things. dont let descriptionas get inside your head and make you more sick then you really are. go and get checked. self diagoses is always a bit more dramatic

You might want to check your blood iron levels. But don't overdose because too much iron is toxic to your liver. Eat some spinach or a multivitamin.
