I guess she's puking every time she eats or drinks. Their vet told them just to give her Pepto until they can get her in to see someone tomorrow. She is throwing up the Pepto also. Any ideas?

They live in a small town and she's the only vet apparently.

If its stomach or digestion type sick believe it or not you can use pepto and ricelyte. Pepto is great for runs and gas while ricelyte replaces electrolyes and cleans the system. Id also find out why its sick and stick to only dog food for him or her. If its anything else take it to the vet. There is a book I used to have of people meds that work on animals like Mikotin treats ring worm. You can still find it in the stores. Its good to have but I forgot the name. I have a husky who eats snakes and gets sick. We keep both on hand and it works all the time. I also had a German shephard with gastritis farted and had liquid poos. It only took 1-2 weeks to cure him. Good luck

Sounds like a foreign body (an object of some kind) might be preventing her from keeping anything down. But then again, it could be so many different things. Pepto doesn't sound like a smart idea. They might want to look into using a different vet!

I don't really know what you should do about the puking, but they should just try to make the puppy comfortable until it goes to the vet. Whenever my dog gets sick, I just hold her with me on the couch and give her a big back rub. It will kind of take the puppy's mind off it's sickness.

I would get that puppy to an emergency clinic right away. If there is an obstruction or intesusseption waiting can cause serious injury to the tissues that could lead to the puppy dying.

If a client called me with this discription I would tell them to come in right away!

Wow, is there an emergency vet there? They need the money at the time of service, but it is not sounding good. Just keep it comfortable.

It could be many things making her sick. She can get dehydrated very quickly. I would go ahead and take her to the emergency vet. It could save her life.
