How should I connect them to keep the resistance correct?

I'm not worried about stereo sound, it will just be in an announcers booth. Thanks.

Just plug them in and you'll be good to go. The only time you have to worry is when your speakers have a lower impedance than your amp. As long as your speakers impedance is equal to or greater than the rating of your amp, you are golden.

Above answer is correct since modern transistor-output amplifiers will accept a range of speaker impedances. The maximum power output will be different, approx inversely proportional to the impedance, so you may lose a some headroom, but it's only ~3db, not really serious.
