World's Tallest Tower:
Burj Dubai Tower in the United Arab Emirates, will reach 2,625 feet (800 meters) when it is completed in 2009. It's will be 200 stories tall. http://www.glasssteelandstone.com/BuildingDetail/701.php
Taipei 101 in Taiwan, is 1,670 feet tall.
Petronas Towers (twins) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is 1,483 feet tall.
And the Fordham Spire in Chicago will be 2,000 feet tall (610 meter) upon its completion (construction just began). It will be the tallest building in America. (The Freedom Tower in my hometown NYC is plagued by financial, emotional issues, and it will be a long time before it's ever built.)

Tapei Tower. The CN Tower in Toronto is quite a bit taller and is the world's tallest free standing structure. I still think of it as a building though.
