no, he is infertile until they drop. They should do some more testing on him, he could be cryptochid, where the testicles dont ever drop, and he will have to be nueterd or cancer is more likely to occur.

A dogs jewels can only go up and come down before reaching 3 months of age. If they dont by then, they wont at all. They cant sire because the reason guys have sacks is that sperm cant survive inside the body heat. The sacks dont have the 3rd layer of skin that the rest of the body has and thats the thermal layer or the subcutanious layer. Also if there is a jewel stuck inside he is at strong risk of cancer and would need to be fixed right away.

YES HE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had to neuter our dog for the same reason.
Please neuter yours as well as soon as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If he's allowed to breed he'll pass along this problem to the pups. And the longer the testicle is locked the dogs own body heat will destroy the sperm which may cause other birth defects in the pups.
Also the longer it stays locked the greater the chance that testicle will turn cancerous. So if for no other reason than to spare your dogs health make that appointment today.Vet fee's for the procedure will be nothing compared to what they'll be if your dog has cancer.

I wouldn't be so certain that he can't because if he has them then he has the drive. But I think that it would certainly diminish how many little soldiers he is sending out.
The testicles are designed very intelligently, they hang away from the body because they need to stay cool. If they are too close to the body (or inside) then they become too warm, which kills sperm. Basically undescended testicles would severely lower his sperm count.

It's possible, but not probable. The testes must be kept at a certain temperature, a little cooler than the body, in order to produce sperm. This is why they are in the sac-like scrotum outside the body. Any man can attest to the swinging/shrinking affects of hot and cold temperatures. Talk to a vet about it. He may want to operate if he believes that they will not descend naturally. A possible side effect of this condition is a tendency for him to develop urinary blockages later in his life.

It depends on his age if they are ready to start dropping. Have him checked out to be sure he's ok. He can not get another do pregnant.

Yes, he is still capable of impregnating a female. Have him fixed or he could get cancer from the undescended testicle.
