Funny how the younger answerers have it figured out sooner, eh?
I think it was when I became a dad, at 30 years.
I couldn´t be a child all the time anymore (only when playing with my daughter), because I had one to care and provide for.

About 12, but the child in my heart is always here at a moments notice to cause some mischief LOL and I am 32!! ;-)

The realization came to me one fate full day at age 22 when I realized I had bills to pay, a job to go to, commitments to keep and far less time to spend with Sonic and Mario :P
