the same way you teach a new dog new tricks...only a lot slower.
first, give the dog a word command, like "roll over"
next, you would move the dog in the position of the trick, like actually (softly) pushing the dog with your hands to roll over
next you give the dog a treat and say "good boy/girl"
repeat this a few times and eventually the dog will do the trick w/o you pushing him to do it
repeat that a few times (remember: w/o the pushing) and eventually he'll have it!
