it is usually applied to towel-dried/wet hair. scrunch your hair with it and run it all the way through the hair with your fingers. use it sort of the same way you would hair gel.

If you want to add volume, distribute a small amount into the roots of your hair and blow dry upside down-when you flip it up you have great volume. You can "scrunch" hair to make it curly by putting it in wet hair and squeezing it in handfuls and blowing it dry upside down-finish with hairspray.

When I blow dry my hair, I first run a bit of mousse through the wet hair. Gives a bit of extra body.

mousse is outdated. If you have to use it, squirt a big blob into your hand and then rub it though your hair.

squirt some in your hand and put it in damp hair then blow dry. if you put it in dry hair it tends to get greasy.
