Only one animal has the enzyme necessary to actually digest cellulose, which is the outer-layer in any plant-cell. That is the termite. All other animals must physically break the cell wall to access anything that the body can digest. A corn-kernal is a shell of cellulose. If you don't actually break the outer shell, there is nothing that your body can do with it.

Chew your corn.

It doesn't; it just appears to.

When you chew on corn kernels, you squish the inner part out of of tougher outer hull. The outer coating is almost entirely made of cellulose, which we cannot digest. Consequently it passes through your body more or less untouched and, coming out, looks much the way it did going in.

Incidentally, it's the cellulose in corn that provides most of the energy from ethanol fuels.

First ; Gross, Dude. Second: the hard outer shell on a kernel of corn has evolved around the idea of spreading by being passed through the gut of moving animals. Several different foods, especially berries work on the same idea. They also use the rest of the feces as convenient fertilizer. Third: Gross, Dude. Really.

When eating anything you need to chew it so your digestion system can handle it. From what you say you are not doing this.

If you are not chewing enough before swallowing your food you are heading for ill health and a lot of stomach pain. It can also iritate the intestines to form polyps which in turn can become cancerous.

Talc to your doctor and et some advice.

Corn is a fiber so your body can't absorb it so it comes out the way it came in. It just goes through your system.

wanna know why cows have 3 stomachs?? to break down all that grass they eat...us poor humans don't have that advantage, therefore raw fiber (found in the vegetables such as corn) is not able to be broken down by our digestive enzymes alone...so it passes right through. This is why increasing your fiber intake helps to regulate your bowel movements. It pushes food/waste through your system.
