I'm adamant that people have a better understanding of this theory so why don't those who claim to have evidence against it or see some flaws in the theory ask their questions in the science section and people will show you how solid the theory is myself included.

I simply think that many people have a misunderstanding of the theory or that they believe it's all a big conspiracy by the sinister scientists who set out to destroy people's beliefs.

The only reason I consider evolution to be a good theory is the evidence in support of it. If there was considerable evidence to the contrary the theory would be abandoned or modified.

I think that people's arguments against the theory are unfounded. I don't want to ram the theory down the throat of anybody but to disagree with it for illogical reasons is just being willfully ignorant.

Thank you for your offer...
Feel free to email me if you wish to dialog on this topic...
I find that there is no evidence that proves Atheistic MacroEvolution (without Intelligent Design)...
I used to believe in Evolution. However, over a period of time I have grown skeptical of the claims of Macro*Evolution... this is largely due to the weakness of the evidence for Macro*Evolution, and the fact that the evidence, rationally interpreted does not support the overarching claims made by Macro*Evolutionists...
For scientific and intellectual critiques of evolution, see http://www.godsci.org/gsi/apol/evo/00.html .
Cordially,
John

I agree that it is a topic which should be kept in the science section...especially since evolution in no way disproves the existence of some sort of god, nor do most evolutionists think it disproves god...there are quite a few scientists working in evolution who are also theists of one type or another.
I also admit that I don't know everything about evolution but for those of us who aren't scientists there has been a really nice site put together which displays all the evidence for evolution and then tries to explain in layman's terms why the theory is based on facts. See source.

Religion and science have been conflicting over this for centuries. Religion is fearful that science will once and for all eternity prove that Evolution not Creation is correct. It's out of fear that there isn't logical discourse on this. Of course there those that compromise and buy into the intelligent design theory...The bible claims that humanity was created in God's (if there is one) image. If that were the case we'd all be perfect, right? Not only that why would that being create a chaotic system (Evolution) and not one that is ordered and specifically structured for perfection? Since we're not all perfect than the Creationist idea holds no weight under any circumstance. PEACE!

First off adamant is meaning that you are firmly for or against a thing, the question is framed as a statement and that makes it very difficult to respond to. I am uncertain as to what you are trying to state here save that everyone that has evidence against the theory of evolution should post in the science section.
Second, now that I believe that I have clarified what you are trying to say, I will respond to it. Thoeries are works in progress and are not the final answer. Scientific and religious laws are seen as the final word or answer. Evolution is a theory as it cannot be proven or disproven. It relies on gathered evidence to establish its potential as a fact, but is not in truth a fact. Many make this mistake and argue for it being a fact. Check out scientific definations and Webster for further clarification for this. Due to the nature of evolution, it is impossible to prove or disprove. This makes the acceptance of it based on point of view or faith.
Third most religions rely on a theory of creation to justify the faith placed in them. Creation is seen in the Semetic faiths-Christain, Islam and Judism. The other faiths have similiar views and different variations on this. Humanism, Athiesism and the Agnostic viewpoints rely on the Theory of Evolution to justify their particular views on how we got here.
Forth evolution is not a solid fact and shouldn't be seen as one. There are too many unexplained aspects of it to gain this perspective. The fossel record is incomplete and is unlikely to ever fully satisfy the criteria necessary for inclusion as a solid and unimpeachable fact. I tend to believe that as time goes on more questions rather than answers will tend to be created around evolution. Although we have some idea as to how many species have developed over time, we are missing several transitional records and this is what is creating the debate. This is also what is fueling an alternate theory of Devine Evolution.
Finally the debate on Evolution is justifiably placed on either site, as it is a theory that supports Humanism, Athiesm and Agno sticism. It is the basis of a religious perspective and can be debated from either a theological or via a scientific perspective. Being adamant only shows the lack of openness necessary for scientific thought and development.

We have all heard of creation of mankind and all life by God. But how did he do it? Christian and Muslims will say that God created Adam and Eve and so forth because that is their beliefs.
But ever wonder that evolution could be God's tool or way in creating life? Are we so egoistic that we must cling to the claims that our version of creation is correct when it still contradicts the scientific findings? Like most great scientists, the more you delve into science, the more you will find and see the glory of God. And the only contradictions between science and God exist s in the minds of egoistic persons.

You actually have to have a lot of faith to believe that evolution theory is the right theory.
Some people just want to mess with Christians around this subject.
I have given some answers to bc-munkee, if you want to ...I made one spelling mistake while writing when tired...( the word micro evolution should have been macro evolution at the one sentence)
It is OK to ask questions like that in this religion and spirituality section, because sometimes we want to have answers from this particular group.

I dont really quite get your question but let me say something about evolution. Its a bunch of BULL. Things just dont APPEAR out of no where and start to evolve! It makes so much more sense to just believe in a higher being instead of believing that things come out of no where. A single cell? Where did it come from? HAHAHAHA its funny that people would even believe that. Scientist could and only will be able to go so far....then it gets to a part where they dont have the answers. Face it.

Really, you are Adam Ant. Pleased to meet you Adam, I've got all your records lmao.
Why do people argue about evolution and religion because neither will give an inch either way.
I just use common sense, and common sense says god is imaginary.

Because religious people "Fear" the truth, since the truth is not very kind to religious dogma. This has been shown time and again through history. No mystery here.
