Lots of examples in the old testament and the new testament. If you believe it's not a sin, show me a scripture that says specifically that it is holy and acceptable.

The bible, Old Testament (Leviticus is very clear about it) and it's clear in the New Testament. There's no parable, there's no 'context' to be taken, it's very, VERY clear that it's an abomination unto God.

There is no scripture that states that homosexuality if holy or acceptable.

Sorry, there's no soft way to cushion that one. It's not that homosexuals are bad people, but acting out homosexually is immoral and a grave sin.

Love the sinner, hate the sin. You can care about a person, you can love a person, it does not mean that you have to condone their behaviour.

Good Question!!! God bless you!

PS: A couple of webpages about helping homosexuals change, there is hope!...

Because they try to say it means something else besides homosexuality. Some people actually argue the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah was for lack of hospitality, even though all the men of the city had gathered around Lot's door to rape the visitors. In the bible, homosexuality is an act not an orientation, so it's condemning the behaviour.

there's a narrative of sodomy which the bible interpreters take to point that homosexuality is a sin and they ought to not get married. Fundamentalist Christians do exactly not comprehend the authentic message of Christ and their Empire will be coming down.

Most everyone wants to hear, I'm OK your OK. Gays do not want to hear that there chooses are a sin. Neither does any one else for that matter.

Because of the I'm OK your OK philosophy, it is politically incorrect to let any one know that they are not OK.

People, despite what most will say, do not want to hear the truth. If you or I tell them the truth and it is against what ever they are saying or doing. We are labeled as intolerant, a hater, uneducated, narrow minded, bigoted, or just plain dumb.

To be saved from the wrath to come, one must repent of there sin. Which is to agree with God that you are a sinner and turn from your sin to God. No one is saved IN their sin but are saved FROM their sin. Those who are saved will not continue in willful sin.

So, telling a gay person that, if they are not saved, they will go to hell, is correct.

Bible says LOTS of stuff that is whacky. It was written, edited, and interpreted, and re-edited by PEOPLE . Yes lots of the core message in there, but man you have to sift with the really FINE seive. It's ridiculous to pretend that it's an unviolated rocord of "God's Word". It's just NOT!! (look into the history of how it came to be in it's present form--really, check it out. It's an EPIC of politics, corruption, and intrigue)
And really, at the end of the day, judgement and villification of people whose shoes you do not walk in, seems to me to cause more pain and damage in the world than any other single thing.
Seems to me to be a central message of EVERY major religion, if you have a mind to look for it. Rabid zealotry , about anything,is the "sin". I honestly believe that Jesus would be/is weeping for the injustice doen in the name of that one "record" of his word, or his ancestors'/precursors. Ugh. So tired/saddened by this endless misdirection of energy. :S
I hope you do some more open searching/research. It doesn't mean you do not love God.It means you love God enough to not settle for simplistic answers. Jesus would approve, I think. He was crucified, for being a radical dissident, by the standards of the day.But I don't pretend to KNOW. It's just what my heart tells me.

The bible says it is a "abomination unto God"
How the Episcopalians can put a homosexual as the head of a church
and also claim to be christians is totally beyond comprehension.

Because people will do, say, and believe what they want regardless of the facts. People always try to twist things to support whatever it is they want to prove or believe in. They may also be trying to lessen their own guilt so if they don't see it in black and white that what they're doing is sinful then maybe they can ease up on the guilt in their conscious.

Homosexuality is a sin. No doubt about it.
So is stealing. Nobody is saying we ought to kill shoplifters. We don't picket the funerals of kleptomaniacs.
Yes, homosexuality is a sin. But before we over-react, maybe we ought to search our own hearts. What sin does God see there?

Well, it is in the bible, but my question is, if these so called "Christians" believe in the bible, they should not be judging the homosexuals, but praying for them. Why do these so call "Christians," say "Homosexuals are going to hell." But the bible also says that God forgives sinners, and that he loves everyone INCLUDING homosexuals!

"I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over a man....Let a woman learn in silence with full submission."

(see Timothy 2.8)

HOW DARE YOU CONTINUE TO SIN LIKE THIS!!

The Bible, to me, is not the literal word of God. I respect if it is to you, but if it is, why are you so passionately arguing against homosexuality, but not against divorce, female teachers, etc.?

Get to know some people who are gay, see that most of them are good people just like you. It might change your mind on this subject.
