You are confuessing unconditional pure love with emotion. Look at the number of people who fall in and out of "love" or what you are calling love.
God's love is eternal and is not based on our actions or what we can give him in return. He loves us because he is our Creator and we are his children. He loves us in spite of us.

God created love in the first place, regardless of a biological, chemical reaction. You are looking at love from humanity's perspective. God's love is perfect. He loves in a way we could never love. Your love is imperfect, because you are imperfect.
Who say's that God isn't real? Just because you have made up in your mind that He doesn't exist doesn't make you right. If he doesn't exist then how are you here (don't say sex). How is life possible? How is the earth formed? Why is oxygen there? Why are there other planets? Did they just appear? Was it a big bang? Big bangs usually destroy not create. How is life possible without an Almighty God? I know you can't answer that question. No one can.

Why do you ask a question when you don't really want the true answer? You said it yourself in the question. 'Philosophically speaking he doesnt exist.' Philosophy is actually a word that means 'World wisdom'. So in the eyes of the world he doesn't exist is what you have just said. He does exist, only I think you might not believe in him. He belives in you. However, because you have asked, I will answer. The bible lists two words that translate to our english word love. One is phileo, which means 'the love of a brother' and is the natural love of human to human. It is manifested as the love of a brother and sister, a mother or father and their children, the natural love of family and friends, etc. The other word is Agapao, which is spiritual love. This love has no emotions, or physical aspects. It is pure love out of a pure spiritual heart. It cannot be manifested without the spirit. The biological aspect you speak of is actually not a part of love. you see, many today have mistaken sex for love. We call it 'love making' but it is not love. It is sex. It can be a part of love, and should be. But love is not a part of sex. Hence love is not a biological urge or reaction. It is an emotional one when dealing with phileo love, and a spiritual one when dealing with God.
Anytime we speak of God having a human aspect it is a figure of speech called condesencio (condesecion). It means to bring God down to man's level. Thus we speak of God having emotion when God is spirit and spirit has no emotion. So, philosophy, or truth. Which would you prefer? Remember, when you say God deosnt exist that in Psalms it states 'The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God..'

Love is a complicated theory, by man's analogy.
Love creates a child, out of absolutely nothing. Before you were born you were nothing. Then your started to become a something from a tiny dot at the end of this sentence. That dot multiplied itself a million times over and somehow knew how to take the shape of a human being. What power was it that carefully organized your form; hands and feet and ears and eyes exactly where it was supposed to be.
Love is always there, taking care of these things we hardly ever notice. Love brought you parents together. Love created you. If love is just a biological chemical reaction, then its the greatest chemical reaction that can ever happen to anyone.
Now you know why they say, God is love.

Why do we assume the biological, chemical reaction is the cause of love? Perhaps it is the biological, chemical result of the experience of love. In that way it is a purely physical reaction to a change in awareness. Since God is assumed not to be human He/Her/It may not have changes in awareness. God's awareness is assumed to be all encompassing Love in God's awareness may then be seen as a constant state of being.

If the only kind of Love you can feel in biological, then my heart really goes out to you, because you can never Love with a true Love until you Love with the Love of God.
The Love of God passes all understanding of man and until you have Jesus in your heart you can not feel this kind of Love. So why not invite Christ into your heart right now and see just how Wonderful The Love of God is.

If you believe that love is a biological, chemical reaction, you are the saddest person who walks upon the face of the earth...
Putting someone elses needs above yours has nothing to do with what is happening in your body.

Typical scientist saying love is "biological, chemical reaction"
Have you any knowledge of the internal energy called the "soul"
the soul is where love comes from, the chemicals are just there to make us feel good.
But if god does exist it (not he or she as it is niether) would probably would be dissapointed with us all as humans.
I mean it would be really hard to love something that doesn't belive in you, or kills in your name.

To understand how God can love you must understand the 3 different Greek words for love that are used in the New Testament:
Agape - Unconditional love (as God loves us)
Filios - Brotherly love (like we have for friends)
Eros - Sexual love (the biological and chemical attaction)

Love is not a feeling, it is an action. For example, I can love you even if I don't agree with your beliefs or behavior. And Jesus loved those who crucified Him, because He aske HIs Father to forgive them when they were torturing Him. Could you do that? THat's certainly not biological or chemical.

Man cannot know God. So, how can you know what God can or cannot do? You shouldn't be contemplating God anyway, since you are obviously an atheist. We can only rationalize God's existence but cannot scientifically prove it. However, if you can substantiate that God does not exist, I'd like to hear it.
