I'm not exactly talking about sex here, just dating. (And by dating I mean EVERYTHING except sex; kissing, oral, whatever as long as there is no penetration.) But if someone could tell me both, like with and without sex if it's legal or not. I don't see anything wrong with it, it's only 2 years and the boy is still in highschool. The legal age in my state is 16 so even if there was sex, wouldn't it still be legal? Could someone help.. please =/.

No sex of any kind is legal if you are under age 18 in any state...
Don't you care about diseases in your mouth or getting in trouble with the law???
You better start thinking and be prepared to answer to your parents...
With you it is rape!!!

The age of consent for intercourse in most states is 16. However, there is a stipulation that the other art of the relation cannot be four or more years older than the other part of the relation. 16 and 18 is perfectly legal. Both of you are high school age and fine. 16 and 20 is not illegal to date but is illegal for intimate touching beyond kissing. I used to run a federal child sex crimes unit. Just so you know where the information comes from.

Ok, so if the legal age in your state is 16, then no it's not illegal. So I would think that it would be alright. But if you aren't having sex then it should be alright. Just be careful, that's all I am going to say.

No it is not illegal. 2 years is a very suitable difference. However, if parental guidance is ignored you could come to grief as it is well known that a young girl's taste in male friends changes rapidly over the next few years. Parents usually know their children under 18 better than they know themselves!

most states say 16 is age of consent...it's still illegal, but it's only a misdemeanor, whereas when you're not age of consent it's statutory rape. it's the same whether sex is involved or not, if everything but sex has taken place.
