When I was walking home from work I found sixty-seven thousands dollars in hundreds in this white dirty duffel bag, what should I do with it? Will I get caught any way if I keep it?

Well, if what your saying is true, (that you found this much money) You should know that it belongs to someone. And this amount is very likely to be something like drug money. OR stolen money. If this is legit money that someone somehow lost I'm sure they will be more than happy to get it back and most likely willing to give a nice reward for its return. You should put a notice in the paper saying something like you found some money and that the owner can contact you for its return. If they can tell you how much, the denomination of the bills, the container it was in, stuff like this then I'd return the money. But keep in mind that if this is drug money you playing a game that can/could get you seriously hurt. If you turn it in to the police would be you best bet and check with the local D.A. to find out about a statue of limitations for it being returned to you should no one claim it.

Wow! That's a lot of cash!! There's no telling where it came from....chances are that it is some sort of "ill gotten gains" though, like from a robbery or a drug deal or something. If it was robbed from a bank or something... the numbers on the bills could be recorded. I would call the local crime stoppers since it is confidential and talk to someone there and see what they suggest. I hope that helps....jv

If there is no identification in or on the bag, I would wait to see if there is something on the news or in the paper in the next week. Also, keep your mouth shut, advertising this will make anybody come forward that you have told and claim it. Be wise.

That is a lot of money and may belong to someone who really needs it. You should contact the police. If it goes unclaimed, it will be yours. If it belongs to someone and they claim it, you have done something noble and should be proud with or without an award.

call the police. If it stolen money and you get caught spending it you could get arrested and thrown in jail for possession of stolen property. If it is not stolen and no one claims it with in a certain time period the cops will return it to you.

Keep a bit and turn in the rest. Don't tell anybody abt it except the police. Other people might wanna steal it from you. Turn it in as soon as possible.

You might want to be careful if you keep it. Someone may have written down the numbers from the money.

You need to contact the police. What if it's drug money and the drug dealers come after you. Scary.
Maybe there is a reward for turning it in.
