I would say so, meeting online vs a bar? I would say online has a better chance. At least you know each other a little better, I would suggest swapping pictures doing something nutty like giving a sideways finger to make sure your not getting 20 year old pictures so there are no suprises or bent feeelings. If your after a mutuel friend I think you might be after though you would be lucky to land her though. Then again I could be way off base, either way good luck.

If both people are in the right place in their lives and really believe in each other enough to try it, then yes, certainly. But, unlike relationships where you are in the same place physically, it takes more work because of the distance issue. Take some time to really get to know the other person, see if you are compatible, recognize early the stresses that could become issues within such a relationship and work through them, and see where your feelings take you...

If by meaningful you mean divorced, then yes.

Okay so maybe it won't lead to divorce, but it's important to work on your real world relationship before you rush into anything.

Yes.
I play Ultima Online. There are plenty of couples who met through Ultima Online, then got married in real life.

Good luck with that.

It is possible, it will take a lot of work. The bigger question is are you both up for the challenge?
