Exactly, God and Jesus ARE TWO different people also. They ARE NOT ONE. The Triune God is a Pagan origin, originally starting in the 3rd century B.C.E., it is not of Christian origin. It had no role in early christianity with Christ and His apostoles. In fact, Jesus said not to pray to Him but to His father in Heaven. He prayed to His father the night before he died on the cross for support in order to get encouragement and finish his "work." They all "work together" and want the same thing, but they are 3 individual beings. The Holy Spirit is a "Spirit Force" that God uses to create and destroy with, while Christ is an actual thinking person.

Look up The Two Babylons by the Rev. Alexander Hislop. It explains the origins of the Trinity and how the early church "adopted" it in order to bring in pagan worshippers.

That is a good point. You hit the nail on the head. Jesus and God are father and son. They are two seperate beings with one purpose. To bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. It is a principle of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that has been lost through the years. It is the only thing that makes sense. God isn't a God of confusion. Then why is there so much confusion in the world you may ask? Because His Gospel was rejected by those who crucified Christ and His authority was taken from the earth due to the wickedness of the people. You lose the truth when no one has the athority to have the truth.

I am a member of the LDS church and I would say that if you want to know more about who God is or how we can get a knowlege of the truth go to lds.org

Makes sense to me . . . a father and son cannot be the same. If Jesus was simply a manifestation of God on Earth he would have said something like "I am God" or "I am part of God come to Earth" not "I am the son of God." Using a word like "son" automatically implies that you are not the same entity because sons are separate people from their fathers (no matter how much some fathers might like to think.)

It's the whole 'Trinity' thing: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It's one of those paradoxical things that we have to accept as truth. the Divine do not obey the laws of man and don't have the same types of relationships we do. The 'Trinity' and the 'Incarnations of God' has been the subject of much debate, but the result is this: either you believe it, which entails accepting the questionable as truth, or you don't. Accepting, which is known as 'blind faith', earns you the title 'Good Catholic' or 'Good Christian'. Questioning your beliefs earns you a lot of dirty looks - but is, I believe, healthier. It should spur you to do some research, on your own, rather than taking every word given to you as the truth. There are thousands of people out there who can spout the verses, sing the hymns and absorb every word from the pulpit...but have never actually read the Bible.

What the heck . Your husband is a father and a son??? Ummmm...I am not quite clear on your whole logic.

To answer you question there are three separate supreme beings. God the Father , His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost.

As a married couple with children... We are the "Last name". But we are individuals. We share the same family name but are seperate also. I believe Jesus is part of the God Family, the Heavenly Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is like the soul, the body and the works in a single person.

It's a difficult concept to grasp. I've heard it explained two ways. One is that water can be a liquid, a gas, and a solid, but it's all H2O. The other is that an apple has a core, an inside, and a skin but it's all just an apple.
