First, lets establish our premise: something can not come from nothing, therefore something has always existed. At no point was there nothing (no space,no energy, no matter, no dimension) and then suddenly something, for there is no potential in the state of nothingness to bring about the existence of anything. Therefore, something has existed forever (infinite, eternal, etc). The way I see it, the two candidates for this thing that has always existed is (a) God or (b) the universe. Assuming that the big bang was a local event that describes a simple redistribution of matter and is not responsible for the space that this matter is expanding into, lets assume that the universe (space) is infinite and eternal. Now, lets assume the universe has been doing its thing (the same thing its doing now) for all eternity. Is there ANY chance at all that within this infinite span of time the universe, using the mechanics of evolution you hold so dear, did not produce a being relativey godLIKE

its logic, not exactly a scientific proof.

your second candidate is an impossibility for the universe to have always been expanding is an absurdity given the finiteness of its current parameters and it does not answer the problem of personality in the world. True the universe is and always has been expanding but only from the point of its inception for if you reverse the path of expansion you will find all matter beginning at some point of infinite density. We live in a universe of cause and effect and it cannot be demonstrated that an effect can be greater than that which caused it to become. So following your initial trail of nothingness into something we know that nothing can be shown to be self caused but that which has been caused to be must have had a cause that was itself uncaused and because of its virtue of choosing to cause that which once was not then we can infer that the power to choose is evidence of a personality of being transcendent of that which it chose to create. Because something now is something always was for it cannot be demonstrated that something that began to be might derive its being from something that is not. In this same line of reasoning it follows also that because personality is, personality always was for to be otherwise would not allow that which now is to be. Therefore....I sure am glad I found my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ through which I have access to that which preceded all that was , is and ever will be, Hallelujah!

Neither logic nor pseudologic constitute scientific proof. No matter how long the universe has existed before the big bang, there is no evidence, principle, or logic train that would suggest a supreme being would become a part of it. However, even if He did, the prior history of the universe would have preceded Him. Instead of all these desperate thought processes, why don't you simply learn as science learns, and marvel in what you discover, for its own sake. It makes for a much more awesome miracle and scenario than than anything concocted by religion.

There is a fatal flaw in one of the assumptions. It says that space always existed and that big bang was only a redistribution of matter. In reality, according to the scientific theory, space and time themselves were created in the big bang. What was before the big bang is one of the biggest mysteries human beings know of.
But to say that God evolved from the universe is impossible for me to believe. I am not an expert on religion but I have a fairly good understanding of my own religion. The God that I believe in existed before the Earth itself accumulated and before the universe was born. And he is the one who created everything. He is far too grand for human beings to understand with their present day knowledge. Maybe some day human beings might be able to prove him. But with the present knowledge that humans have, I think it is safer to rely on our beliefs.

Not terribly well constructed.
But what they fail to see is that, by definition, neither eternity nor infinity have limits.
It is not a question of what exists in infinite time or infinite space
Because, by definition, everything does.
Ergo, God too.
You cannot say there is no God in infinity, because by removing God you have placed a limit. And then you have made the infinite finite

Nice paradox!

Sorry I see no proof just a theory.

If the universe created a god like being, then that god could not have created the univerise.

If you trying to say that god then created the univerise and that god is the god in the bible then the bible is wrong, as it says that god created the heaven and the earth etc etc etc. It does not say anything about the univerise creating god.

If that part of the bible is wrong.. then there is a good chance that other parts of the bible are wrong. And if god's word is the bible and the bible is wrong then there is something that your theory can't explain.

Wow, a nicely phrased intelligent question. Far too many assumptions to be able to draw a conclusion; ( I don't know everything, I don't even know all the things I don't know) I wouldn't call your hypothesis a proof, but I respect your ideas. Again we are forced to return to the question where did (Matter / God) come from? As an ant will never understand how Bush got elected, we may never know the answer to your questions.
Thank you for posting it

No one produced God, btw. The whole point of being timeless and eternal is that He never had a beginning, nor will He have an end.

And you have too many assumptions to call it proof, this is merely your theory.

And yes, God did create something from nothing, just by speaking. Imagine that kind of power! Oh wait, we have that too .... I can create feelings in you just by using my words, as you can do to me as well.

"Relatively godlike," is not God. Many individuals are relatively godlike. We are not all equal, despite what your government tells you. The simple truth, like it or not, is that the matter in the universe has always been there, and merely changes in form.

Your question is why we still debate the existance of God (if there is one). Let me ask you this...Did nothingness exist? Only we can put a lable on it and make it into something. Bottom line is that there is NO GOD...God was a creation of man to answer the inexplicable and he/she/it continues in that role today.

The only thing you're proving (or trying to prove) is that a higher power, not necessarily the Christian God, created everything.

I can still think that my Pagan deities created the universe and evolution.
