Maybe you are more than friends or should be. Trust him, he knows what he's doing, what he's ready to do. Don't be such a chicken, when it comes to realtionships and progress. Friendship is a realtionship, itself. It's based on trust and respect. And realtionships are based on it. Let your friendship progress, girl!

omg! so so so so weird . . . i was in the exact situation bout 2 weeks ago and i made the same mistake by telling (a large lie) that i liked him back. i learned though that by telling him that he started to really really like me and i just didnt feel the same way. i know its so hard to hurt somebody you care SO SO SO much about (he was my best friend too), but i couldnt lead him on any more. that would hurt more. you might lose him as friend. you might not. sorry to say things probably wont be the same between you 2 any longer. tell him how you feel but dont break him. the best thing to do is be honest, but it always works if you say that something might happen down the road. be strong. i know it sucks. i lost my best friend, but i would have broke him even harder when he found out how i really felt if i had kept it up any longer.

Tell him the truth, that is why you are best friends, you have an unconditional bond.. even when thinks don't work out you can still remain friends based on it is open in the first place.. when it works out that is how you want your husband to be, your best friend.
You have already built the foundation in the relationship, just enjoy it,.. Mmmm are you willing to start over and find a new best friend??

You should tell him the truth because he is thinking that you like him and maybe he has plans for you.Tell him that you only want to be friends and if he really likes you he will eventually understand. It is true that you might hurt him but he will get over it knowing that he has your friendship.Trust me,I have done that like, more than 15 times.Tell him the truth but in a nice way.Anyway, good luck.

If your friend is truly a friend, Then you must talk to him about your feelings.
By not doing so will only cause both of you a great deal of hurt later.
If your friendship is for real, Your friend will understand and accept that you are not comfortable moving past where you are at now.
If your friend becomes angry or hurt, Then it was NEVER friendship that he was looking for from you.

Well, if you don't like him you have to be honest but if you kind of like him make a pact. Say you'll do one date with him and if it doesn't work then say that you can still try to be best friends again. That might be kind of a lost cause tho... Hope it works out!

Friendship oftentimes turn to love especially because that you are always together. It is normal, so if you like him, just go with the flow and you will find out that he is feeling the same. Good luck.

Just tell him the truth. He need to know what you think. If you don't tell him what you think he will keep thinking that you like him more than a friend

this reminds me of an issue i had in high school.
my best friend asked me numerous times to marry him, but i did not love him in that way.
i was open and honest with him and i told him that our friendship meant too much to me to take a chance like that.
may i add that is over 25 years later and we still keep in contact and we are still best of friends.
boyfriends or girlfriends come and go but your best friend will last a lifetime!!!!

tell him you are ok with being best friends and he knows too much of your secrets to be more. You appreciate the bond that you two have and does not want to lose him that way.
