Yes, some are, but I would like to see more Americans taking a stand instead of just complaining. The United States was built on people who fight for their freedoms. Privilege has whipped us into soft hearted people who are too afraid to be called(falsely of course) "racist."

I like that new catch phrase
" Doing the Jobs that our government won't do"
If we can't actually go out and help the minute men, then we all need to keep the pressure on our elected "Leaders ? "
Call or email your state reps and let them know how you feel about the lawbreaking invaders from the south. Tell them that you want the borders secured and the invaders rounded up and shipped home. They are spending billions of dollars for xray machines at the airport so they can look at our grandma's stuff, but they refuse to secure the borders, which is where the real threat is coming from. THey need to get the immigration process in order, so that we know who is here, and where they are. They have done nothing to address the real weaknesses in our security, that culminated in allowing the attacks of 9/11. It is not just about building a fence, or deporting illegals. It is about the shoring up of all the security features that encompass "Homeland Security".

We should never depend on the government to take care of all of our needs. The people sometimes need to take care of each other. The government has never been good at providing and was never originally set up that way. Just look at Katrina. The people in neighboring states and communities were sending millions of dollars of aid and supplies while the Mayor of New Orleans and the governor of LA were in a big old pissing contest. Both were too interested in thier own agenda to ask for help from the federal government. What a debacle!

I think that if everyone took 5 minutes and wrote to congress, wrote to their papers, wrote to their city councils, and made their views known in a civil fashion, just speak up with the reasons that you believe are valid in support of ending illegal immigration, that congress would ultimately have to take notice and legislate accordingly. We DO have a functional system of representative government, and in the event that our representatives decide they DON'T need to listen anymore, well that's what recall elections are for. We CAN vote to have our border with Mexico closed, and there's not much the Senate can do about it, at that point, because The People Have Spoken. So, I'd say 'get out there and speak', speak frequently, speak civilly, and speak openly, and cite the grounds in an honest fashion for deliberation on amending our border policy so it has a meaningful impact on the problems we're having with Mexico.

May I be Boss of the US--I'll try, I'll try.
They won't let me--they gave the job to someone else.
I agree the fence needs to be put up--first. And more Patrolling until it is done.
You can send a dollar to the Minutemen-they are giving free the labor-they need money for that fence.

Americans believed that we were voting in people who took an oath to uphold the laws of the land, to be loyal to America, to abide by the principles of the Bill of Rights and Constitution. When we discovered the betrayal, we united with the Minutemen, Stop the Invasion, Save Our State, FireCoalition, and other patriotic organizations to preserve and protect our nation.
We are growing, and we are becoming stronger and we shall prevail and keep our nation safe from the greedy and the invaders....

I support the Minutemen. Big business walmart, tyson and home depot etc.... are allowed to get away with hiring illegals because the pay so much to back our goverment that our goverment will not fine them enough to stop them. So until we boycott the business and show them that we are tired of it and what kind of power the dollar has when not spend with their company they will continue to hire illegals and while the fence and beefed up patrols are good they are only "band-aids".

There are many ways you can speak up and one of them is to work with http://www.moveon.org They are not party affiliated, but right now they do want Republicans out of Office! I wonder why! Please join their newsletter - you get it once or twice a week and they ask you to call your congressman, and write your newpapers and give you hints on what things to say to get your voice heard!
I don't care if immigration is changed, what I DO care about is that ANYONE (From Italy, to Mexico) that chooses to move here, BE HERE LEGALLY! I don't think that's too much to ask....we Americans get arrested for a lot less it seems :/

That's because the government is not working for us, they're working for corporations. And if corporations enjoy cheap, illegal labor; government will forever turn a blind eye to the illegal immigration issue. Until, of course, election time when Republicans try to pander for votes based of empty promises.
