This is not a healthy way to deal with the situation. You will eventually reach a burnout. Part time job OK to keep you busy and help you with other things you mention. You need at least 8 hours of sleep every night to stay healthy.

Good luck

First off - you need to pay yourself first. You are not a slave to whatever bill you have. You need to pay a modest living then pay bills. If the pressure is too much (and I've been there too) then another job is a good idea, but 3 hours of sleep a day for 5 days in a row will not work. You'll be good for a few days, maybe a couple of weeks, but the reality is, when it catches you, you are gonna crash hard. I would prioritize your bills, and pay what you can AFTER you pay yourself. Offer to do pet sitting, bartending, UPS night job, anything that will allow you at least 8 hours of downtime a day. Can you sell any of your possesions?

Being depressed and sleep deprived isn't going to help you in your job performance. Paying the student loan and keeping yourself occupied isn't worth the risk of an accident and running yourself completely down. Look for a 2nd job that isn't so many hours if you're worried about, and keep your mind off of the ex by reading, a hobby, volunteering... something that you can ignore if you're tired and give up when you meet someone else you want to spend a lot of time with ;-)

Work is a good way to forget/get through tough times.... the lack of sleep won't be a problem AT FIRST but over time it will become a problem. The plan may look and sound good but it will take its toll on you for extended periods. You know yourself better than anyone so the real question is "can you handle it? and for how long?"

Good luck and may God be with you.....

You need more than 3 hours of sleep a day. Get some help...see a doctor or a counselor. Please...you don't have to live with depression.

I think it's great but 16 hrs is kinda too much, maybe 14.

sounds like a plan, but 3 hours sleep isn't enough for any body. you need the second job to be for less hours.

It's not healhy' but if you can't sleep and really think you can do it why not but it won't last long and it doesn't help w'depression because your not dealing w'it just delaying the feelings.
