YES!!!!! That happened to me!
After not finding anyone local and my friends had no one to introduce me to . . . I ended up joining three dating services.
They weren't going too well, either! LOL Most of the men who contacted me were only after one thing. I was (at my age) ready to settle down and have a long-term, committed relationship.
I met a perfect gentleman (finally) and I truly believe he's my "Mr. Right".
Right after I met him, there were like five different men who contacted me, all of who were pretty local AND attractive, nice and wanted a relationship!
Of course, by then I needed to tell these others that I've now found a match for myself!
Why does it always work that way????? LOL
Fortunately for me, I have remained friends with one of these guys. We e-mail, chat and talk on the phone occasionally. My Mr. Right DOES know about this b/c WE have an open, honest relationship - the way it SHOULD be!
I guess I can count my blessings b/c I've found a lover AND a friend! : )

Absolutely! I think it's because when you are looking, there is some undefinable air of desperateness. Then when you are in a serious relationship, you exude more confidence and lose that yearning desperate aura. That is what attracts more people.
I've also noticed, personally, that when I'm getting in a serious relationship with someone, all of a sudden here comes every old boyfriend I ever had, all crawling out of the woodwork. Sometimes, in that case, when the phone rings, it's like "OK, what loser I thought was buried in my past is this call going to be?", since that's what the last 5 or 6 calls were. Isn't that weird? But so true...
Oh--congratulations on your engagement! :-)

you've obviously not in any respect met me then. I have IBS, I realized to chuckle about poo a lengthy time period in the past. and actual, i do not imagine the transformations are as huge as all of us seems to imagine. they're there, yet an excellent style of the stuff that differs between the sexes is fantastically trivial.

yeah, it's a common occurence. when you're single, no one wants you and the moment you find someone, it's like you're the #1 thing on God's green earth.
