If you have windows you should be able to add fax as a printer using your control panel.

To send a fax you just click on file, print change printer to fax and go from there!

my experience tell you no better than winfax console in:
start menu > all programs >accessories>Communications>
fax>fax console
other programs need to know your fax modem

winfax hands down the best fax program out there
been using and old version for 6 years ( version 8.0 )
works under 98, 98se , ME win2k, winxp
