my cat was asleep on a small blanket...he's now moved onto the carpet.Do I...put him back on the blanket and hope he goes back to sleep...or,appreciate that he's woken up and no longer wishes to be on the blanket...or, bury all my clothes in the back garden because I'm jealous of his blanket freedom.....

If only we could all have such blanket freedom... but the potatoes won't let us. So sing to your cat a song of sullen freedom and questionable situations and then he shall understand that the world is his oyster and oysters are secretly running the government... and yes it is true that all cats are assassins for federal agencies.
