AAU is the Amateur Athletic Union, and they sponsor severl basketball teams & leagues.

It is an association for amateurs, i.e. non professional players. They offer sports programs for those wishing to participate. Far as I know it is a good and reputable organization.

its a basketball organization for kids........they have a website, you should check it out.......one for girls http://www.aaugirlsbasketball.org/
and one for boys

there are tournaments all over the country, and loads of local games too....its good, competitive fun for kids serious about playing ball
