Because both Christianity and Islam teach hatred against others:
Bible:
"If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you ... Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die." -- Dt.13:6-10
Qu'uran:
4:91 Ye will find others who desire that they should have security from you, and security from their own folk. So often as they are returned to hostility they are plunged therein. If they keep not aloof from you nor offer you peace nor hold their hands, then take them and kill them wherever ye find them. Against such We have given you clear warrant.

It's not immoral to be a Christian, but people do immoral things Christian or not. Yes even Christian do immoral things and that is called Sin. For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. That's why Jesus died to pay the price for our sins, but we have to accept Him as our personal saviour to take advantage of His payment

We must first settle on a definition of morality. Proposed: an act is moral if enhances the survival of the tribe, immoral if it detracts, and amoral if has no effect. Any tribe will posit moral standards which it considers beneficial to its survival; if its standards are valid, it will survive, and if not, it will die out. (Evolution applies to societies as well as to species.) We see that some principles (e.g., don't steal, don't commit murder) are pretty common to all societies, so one can reasonably adopt such principles as a set of moral standards valid for societies generally.
So, how does this apply to Islam or Christianity? Neither religion is immoral per se: if one were, it would have died out. But practitioners of either religion can commit acts that mainstream believers of that religion would consider immoral, such as suicide bombings or auto-da-fes.
It is worth noting that most religions claim to be repositories of moral standards. We can see from the foregoing that all such claims are false: a religion survives because it is moral, not because it prescribes a particular morality.

Who told you it was immoral to be either one? I really wonder if you know what immoral means or is it just a word you heard.

I don't think it's immoral. Misguided certainly, unjustified without a doubt, but probably an honest mistake in most cases rather than morally wrong.
