Lilyflower:
I personally could see and taste salt any time I wanted to, there is no logical reason to doubt the existence and taste of salt.
If I said to you there is a super being called "WHATEVER" who controlled the taste of salt, and you just had to believe it, you would not accept what I said and rightly so.
The whole concept of faith in a supreme being is ludicrous in my humble opinion.

Of course evidence is required before I should believe in something.
Some things are beyond reproach. Who built my house? I dont know! But if I wanted to I could research and find out the people who did. I could find people who knew the people who built it.
People used to believe the world was flat on the basis of faith.
You could argue the existence of anything on the basis of faith alone.
The concept of a 'god', a supreme creator, is just too far fetched. Where did He come from? Who created Him? What came before Him?

Dude, just look around you! You think that flower made itself????
Just kidding: here are the proofs of god:
All arguments for or against the existence of god always boil down to this: what came first, god or the universe. Since logically something can never come from nothing, something has always existed. But the truth is, either scenerio is proof of gods existence:
Scenerio one: God has always existed.
Scenerio two: The universe has always existed. BUT, that means the universes has existed for an infinite span of time. What are the chances that a god like creature has not evolved somewhere in the universe over an infinite span of time? Infinitessimal. There is NO chance that this didn't happen. So, god as a super alien being? Beats the alternative...
Really, what else could have happened if the universe is infinitely old? You think you are the first beings to evolve? In INFINITY? How many years ago did another intelligent species evolve in an INFINITE timeline. Think about it...there are NO FIRSTS in infinity...
So, is the universe not infinite? What was there before the big bang? Nothing? Something came from nothing?? Ha ha ha!

A long time ago the church believed the world was flat, and when someone said it was round they laughed at him and called him a heretic, then someone said that the Earth was NOT the center of the Universe and that the sun and all the stars did NOT revolve around the Earth and the Churches cried "HERESY" and condemned the poor man to death. Now some people suggest that there are other forms of intelligent life that may live on other planets in other solar systems and the Churches are suppressing that and ridiculing the believers/thinkers. If you want your thinking controlled and your mind to be suppressed, join a church and let them do your thinking for you.

Good Question.
What else you need, apart from,
1. Concrete scientific evidence that we all originated from a pair of humans eons ago?
2. There was a great flood as recorded in many ancient civilisations?
3. There is a evidence of an skeletal army laid out in the Red Sea?
4. The resurrection of dead man by Jesus
5. The words of the last Prophet Muhammad
Maybe if you see with your own eyes, when Jesus (Prophet to Muslims, Lord to Christians) descends from the Heavens, but then my friend you will have to live till the end of days. (not the best ot times !!!)

The very simple answer to your question is NO, and if you want to take it one step further, none existent God didn't have a Son who was of course God himself and also the Holy Ghost!
The Old Testament is a big enough load of BS to swallow' but then along come the Christians with Gods visit to earth in the guise of his own Son!!
So you knew before you started this question there is no evidence, only faith, and as you correctly say "look around you"!! Plus of course chapter and verse taken from all sorts of 'Holy books'! Did you really expect anything else?
I have often wondered what proof would convince me that there is a god, and if he made a personal appearance , to all mankind, and all mankind understood his voice and he worked many miracles!
I would still not believe what a complete load of tosh!!
AMEN

Only you can answer this for yourself. Look within. You will find your answer. My feeling....just the fact you are here is concrete proof enough. The difference between humans and other animals is that we can reason on a different level than animals, we have a conscience to decide what is right/wrong, we name things with our language and are always inventing newer/better things out of the newest technology. You don't see that with other animals. They build, communicate, etc, but at a basic level. Animals do not question whether God exists, they just live and be. Humans have the thought process to analyze, wonder, and search for where we truly come from and the existence of God. I find it hard to believe we were created accidentally and just floating around space when we have these amazing cognitive abilities. It's proof enough for me.
Good luck on your search.

did the very first skeletal evidence of mankind found have a nose that was "upside down" so rain could fall into it...
the eyes, is there evidence that man's eyes were ever any different than they are today--and how magnificent they are ...
your mouth... why is it not where your belly button is... is there any evidence on any old old skeletons that the mouth was ever located on the forehead, the belly, the cheek...
the fingers... did the oldest evidence of man have no thumbs?
when we observe the oldest specimans of man, was there anything different about them and us physically... did we evolve...is there evidence that we evolved from a what..."germ", a cell, into this magnificent machine that we are.... but yet..to some...that is so much easier to believe in than what your eyes, your very own eyes tell you every single moment of your life...
the point is there is an order to everything... bible says "I am not a God of confusion".... science proves that there is an order to everything in this universe and we discover more and more all the time... bible also says in the last days intelligence will be multiplied... look at how we advance now compared to history, compared to just 50 years ago even... (i dont have the statistics off hand but they are significantly significant)
the bible says "the heavens proclaim His glory".... i'm sorry.... we can all talk and talk to you but until you can open those eyes and let your heart speak to you and let your eyes see, nothing will ever ever convince you that God exists and that he thinks of you "more times than can be counted".....
once you do that, honestly seek Him, then He will be found by you...and then my friend, you will have the evidence you are seeking........

No. It is based on opinnions.
Please rememnber that whenever you consider this, that there are many faiths out there and even if there was just one worldwide faith - all people are different.
The concept for the existence of God lies in your faith alone. It also lies in what you expect of God, what you faith tells you about God. Never let someone else tell you who your God is.
There have been theories over the centuries that try to explain the existence of God and also explain that if he does exist, why and how...
The overall main ideas about the true picture of God tend to revolve around the opinnions that God is: omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent, imminent and ominpresent...
All powerful, all-knowing and everywhere at once is the general idea of an all powerful God.

You say you want concrete evidence that God exist.
I give you myself. Before God saved me I was your every day church
going member.I was self centered ,if there was something I wanted to
do most of the time I did it.I really didn't care about anybody else but
my immediate family.I thought that I was not that bad a boy and I joined the church at 13 years of age because my friends joined.I snook
off my junior year and got married.I did go on and finish school secretly married. In service I did things that I knew were wrong. When I got out of service my wife started to church and carried our children which was
the reason I got back in church.I had a meeting with God and he choose to save me.
Now my life has Changed I KNOW THAT GOD EXIST.Where I was
self centered has changed to being a servant instead of being served.
Where I Loved to drink and party I have stopped drinking ,my taste in
music has changed if it doesn't glorify God I had rather not listen to it.
Where I lived life without Hope or purpose I now have eternal HOPE
and live a life I don't have to look over my back to see what is coming. The fear of the unknown is gone because one thing that I
was afraid of was death. No body knows for sure what happens EXCEPT Jesus because he has already been there and back conquering DEATH.Because Jesus Lives I don't have to fear death.Because Jesus Lives I will LIVE TO. I know God IS REAL !!

It is a good idea to demand evidence before accepting anything. It seems to me that there are two basic belief systems that people tend to take as given , identifying with one and rejecting the other.
One is a 'spiritual' or 'consciousness first' view, the other is a material first view. To really explore reality however ,we have to first recognise ,which one of these beliefs is operating in ourselves .
Then we can look carefully at what is actually there. For instance, we may experience our bodies pressing against a seat, but if we really look carefully, and disregard any ideas we may have about that, especially the 'obvious' ones,we start to get a different viewpoint. Anyone who really wants to know 'what is this ? ',can through repeated investigation, find that reality is not as it first appears.....

There is evidence but you probably see it as just the whole world, the universe time and everything in it.
Seems conclusive enough to me.
I know what you mean though but think - what made it all happen, at the start - and what came before all that?
The only way the question can be answered unfortunatly is by saying "take a look around etc etc".
Sorry that the world isnt enough
