You're missing the most important information here. Do they like each other? If so, let them date. If not, who cares if it's okay?

It is positively ok for them to date but not for them to have sex. in most states that would be considered statutory rape if she was to ever get pregnant for him. Tell your sister that is ok. Age shouldnt matter in a relationship if they really like each other. Just tell her to be str8 and forward with him and let him know that just because he has a 3 yr. age difference over her doesnt mean that he can munipulate her into doing wateva he wants because thats not gonna happen. Even tho this may or may nto help me n my bf lives 10 yrs. apart n ew been dating since I was 16 we have had many anniversaries together n our relationship is happy jus b/c I was str8 forward with him. So tell your sister to do the same and maybe she will find happiness too.

no way. the age difference of three years isnt bad. but its the thought of a 13 year old and a 16 year old. They are soooo young and have to much to learn within their next couple of years. plus why would a 16 year old date soo young

No NO NO NO NO!!!!! That is not cool. Ever wonder why a 16year old would want to go out with a 13yr old... One answer he want to see if he could be the one to take her virginity. Surely it is not because they have a lot in common. Tell your little sister to not grow up so fast.

My parents allowed me to date a guy 18 when I was 13. As long as he is a respectful guy then ok, but if his reputation says he uses girls, then protect her.
Investigate him a bit. Ask friends, etc of his and your sisters.
But if she doesn't know what to do, then she must not be interested, therefore tell her that unless she "into" him to just say No Thanks.

Remember, what you let your children do they will also let your grandchildren do. You are teaching your kids how to be parents in every thing you do. No would be my answer. Dont try to be popular with your kids over beening a good parent.
