On average, I wash mine around 20-25 times per day. Is that a lot?

I always wash my hands after going to washroom, before and after eating, after having a cigarette, and upon return from a public place.

I haven't really thought about it...I am a mother so I think I wash mine a whole lot more than the average person. I would say 15 or so? But I also use the hand sanitizer stuff...does that count??

If you do not have an uncontrollable urge to wash your hands when still in a public place, then you're ok, if however you catch yourself going home to wash your hands or it disrupts your life, then you need help. Try quitting smoking too, you are obviously disgusted from cigarettes.

Well, I'm not a fanatic about it but, like you I wash them alot. Like you said, after bathroom and public places. Plus I have 3 cats and I am always aware of touching them, or their food etc. and washing my hands afterwards.

I read once that we don't really get our hands clean when we wash because we do it too quickly. So as you wash your hands sing or say the Happy Birthday Song slowly twice as you lather and wash your hands then they are clean. I'm not sure if you are washing too much it doesn't seem obsessive compulsive to me but then I like my hands clean too.
