she needs to comprimise if she wants to get back with you. relationships are give and take. talk about finding a new place together. thats a long way for you to move to. sinse you are making the big move, she can make a little move. and it will be your guys's place, and not you moving in with her. if she can't give then i would hold off a bit on the move. cause what kind of relationship is that going to be if she can't budge on a little thing like that. what happens when something big happens between you two. will her reactions be as ridgid? not saying they are now, but if it goes that way, something to think about before you pack up everything and give up your whole life were you are now to be with her.

Do you care about your cats? If so then think about what they will go through if you give them away. Even if you do find a good home for them they will be stressed from moving to another environment with strange people.
Some cats adjust fine and others get so stressed that they develop bad behaviors and if that happens the new guardians are likely to find them another home.
The situation with your girlfriend sounds like it's up in the air and could easily end when she doesn't like something. So how would you feel giving these cats away and a month later you are on your own again.
I rescue cats and know the trauma they experience moving and like us it is very stressful to them when they are older and no longer kittens.

Well what's more important? The permanent love of your pets? OR The possible permanent love of your girl?
Its something she should be forced to deal with as well. If she's really into working things out a compromise should be met. Perhaps getting a new place to live? or Adopt out your cats.
In the end think of the cats-they can't tell you what they'd like to have happen.

Hmmm... should you give up a lifelong commitment to two living beings who depend on you, for the chance of rekindling a relationship in another state that didn't work the first time?
Which head are you thinking with?
I'd be willing to bet there are some nice women in Ohio who like cats. Shorter commute, no guilt (over the cats, anyway).

You could leave the cats with a relative if you decide to move to Pennsylvania or you two could get another place that allows cats/pets. It's up to you two!

Move to Pennsylvania but find a place that excepts cats and then have her move in with you. Though if she doesn't like cats I think your relationship is doomed. She needs to accept you and your pets (which are like your children). So let go of her and find someone who will love you and your cats.

Would your girlfriend consider moving (to a different apartment in PA)? Tell her it's either that or she has to come live with you in Ohio because you can't get rid of the cats. Maybe this is a test to see if you will get rid of them easily, then your girlfriend will think that you will be able to get rid of her easily. Tell her your cats are your family and they go with you. It's a package deal.

You've got to decide if a relationship that has already failed once is worth giving up the two cats. Also are you willing to give up the family, freinds, and I would hope job you have in ohio. also, if she'd be willing to live with the cats, you could try to find another place to live that allows pets. that would help in another way...the place would be yours as well as hers. if you move into her place, it will always be "her" place.

Well you have 2 options;
1) You tell her to get lost or to come stay with you and keep the cats or
2) You hand the cats in to a home or other place they will be looked after properly and go live with your girlfriend.
Don't just throw the cats out - it's not their fault! Make sure they go to a nice home!

Find a place where you, the cats and her can live. Alternatively ask yourself this: How much do I really love this woman? Is she more important to you than the cats, are they more important than her? The best of luck in your decision. I'm a cat person by the way.
