Generally you cant tell right away if shes interested or not. Most women will accept a free drink, and talk to them for a few minutes to determine whetther or not she is interested in him. Its always nice to be bought a drink, but it can be cheap also, depending on how the offer is given. Like "hey baby, can i buy you a drink" is cheap sounding. But something like you're sitting next to her and she orders a drink and you say to the bartender "put it on my tab" is a subtle way of letting her know that you obviously want to buy her a drink. Much better to start a conversation that way.

Could mean a couple of things. She's doesn't have money so a free drink is always good, could mean nothing to her a drink is a drink no matter who is paying. Me, I'll accept the drink and I will even say thank you and maybe strike up a 5 or 10 minute conversation with you but please don't think Iam interested because you bought me a drink sh*t I could do that my damn self.

I am a guy and apologize for giving my 2 cents.
Buying a drink for someone is an icebreaker so he can meet you and spend time with you while drinking.
First, before accepting, find out who bought you the drink. Eye ball him then tell the bartender to send it back or accept it and have a talk with him to see if he has a brain.

When a guy offers you a drink in the bar it seems like a nice gesture, but then they tend to expect you to hang around them the whole time you are there.
Just because a girl lets you buy her the drink doesn't mean anything, its weather she stays around to talk to you that means she is intrested usually.

Free drink. Just because someone offers to buy you a drink, doesn't mean a thing.

I think its nice of guys to offer, but I think its rude to acceot the drink if you are not interested. I was out with friends and someone kept buying me drinks all night long, but wouldn't let the bar tender tell me who they were..that was a little creepy. I kept saying no and they kept trying.

take a drink from a bartender, ok, but not form a stranger it may be laced- I think it is ok to accept a drink but guys this does not mean we want to go home with you - except do not "buy" a drink on college nights when the cover/door charge covers all drinks bought that night, that is just cheesy

Honestly its nice of him to offer a drink and you should go ahead and accept it to be nice. But return to your table later and is he still aproaches you in a respectfull manner and wants to talk then consider that a good sign. But if you get the greif over leaving after taking the drink....why bother caring.

I would hope it means she is interested, otherwise she might be an alcoholic who will accept drinks from anyone.
