I don't share your pain. I am intelligent, educated and am very satisfied in my own church. Most people have had bad experiences in "Churches of Men", meaning churches established by men and run by politic rather than by revelation by God.
If you dare, go to www.lds.org and click on the "more information" button and visit with them. Not to argue, but to understand. If you are educated, or a serious person, you too might find something you can hold on to. They have answers that are totally missing in most other churches.
1. What is the purpose of life?
2. Why am I here?
3. Is there life after death?
4. How can I KNOW these answers are true from God.
Listen, Challenge, Pray, and listen to your heart. You will be a much happier and more fulfilled person.

I Believe in God 100% and those who don't will feel his wrath. I feel the pain of the unbelievers how the will parish in the eternal flames of you know what. I don't care if others think I am 100% invalid because I know where I am spending eternity, in heaven. Read the bible and it all will make since to you. I am not being ugly I'm trying to help. We have to define and restrict ourselves with religion ( God's)or there would be no boundary's or commandments.I love going to Church and meetings. You should go before you talk about it. It feels amazing to go to praise and worship. My church is my family, they blessed me so many times. God bless and have a blessed life.

I totally agree with you, in fact I think world religions should be taught in all schools from the start. The more children learn what the basic tenets of all religions are and how they are mangled by almost all, they will quickly learn that religion per se was a human invention to control and manipulate all others. It beats the brainwashing that children now are forced to endure as they are forced to carry on the"family" tradition. You can be a good person who doesn't take what doesn't belong to you, does no evil to other beings and be a happy content human without all the forced hypocrisy that religions bring in to this world.

I don't think religion has anything to do with faith. They are completely different and that is the biggest problem as far as I can see. Organized religions are mostly about power and control.I don't need someone to tell me about my God.I know him very well. He doesn't tell me not to use the free will He gave me! The word Christian belongs to anyone who lives as a follower of Jesus Christ. It doesn't mean Methodist,Baptist,or any of the other misguided fools.Any person who believes in higher power no matter what name is used is still saying God.Faith is the answer and religion is a waste of time.

Not all religions are like that. I haven't practiced them all, so I can't say ALL aren't like that. I simply know for a fact that there are in fact some religions where you can discuss God. These are few and far between, but they exist.
Now, by discuss, I mean negotiate and compromise. If you walk into a Christian church and talk with the Preist about God, he won't compromise. He will explain to you the Christian faith and clarify THAT.
I've had it, but for different reasons.

On the surface I agree that it would be nice if all religions where compatible. But the truth is they aren't. One requires you to perform an act to recieve mercy, another says mercy can only be accepted and not earned, etc. Consider when Jesus claimed that nobody comes to God accept through him. Now if Mohammand said the same thing we have a problem. My advice is to take an honest look if there is anything is missing in your heart and test each religion's message to see which one delivers lasting satisfaction in all aspects of your life.

Because people ar egetting more educated and religion will not withstand education. That is why most sinle religion countries such as islamic attempt to deny education to females and restrict educational institutions to mainly religious classes.
In islamic countries most technical jobs go to foreigners for the same reason. Religion cannot be substained as education is realized worldwide.
Clearly religion is responsible for most deaths.problems in the world.

"Not I," said the Fly.
It's all a matter of opinion, experince, and beliefs. All we can do is wait until we die and see what happens, if their is a God[s] then people that believed in him will be rewarded and other's will be sent to hell or whatever they believe in, if not then...oh well I guess.
You seem to be sterotyping people in religons...
Christian's are arrogant because we like our great-great-great-great Grandparents were raised to believe that there was only one true God and the rest of the religons were just cults. It's just what we were taught.
I happen to be Christian and I don't believe heaven is open to humans, I think we're reincarnated over and over again. I am also friends with a Satanist and a Pagan and we get along quite well.

I agree with you, I have been studying Hinduism for years, and feel comfortable with it ; it is of great importance to me to see other religions as a knowledgeable aspect that will enhance my attitude towards others of that religion. I also found that this religion does for me what I needed. My religion was based on money and attitudes that were not in the realm of salvation for my so called soul. Hinduism, is a religion that encompasses my whole being. I am in control of my life because of the value that I have placed on myself due to learning how to mediate and let inner peace take control of my life. Mediation has taught me how to belief in me, and gained respect for others.I am a firm believer in experience other religions based on their loving the person and not their wallet.

If only one religion can be right, then the followers of the other thirty-thousand-plus are in for a most unpleasant surprise on judgment day.
Why not hedge your bets? Be a Catholic- Baptist- Lutheran- Episcopalian- Hindu- Buddhist- Shintoist- Pastafarian- Jim_Darwinite (wtf). You'll be so busy studying all the holy books you won't have time to worry about getting into heaven, heck, judgment day will probably come and go and you won't even notice!
