Do you feel that a relationship with this big of age span can work? we both love eachother, but have made no commitments to eachother yet, and I am worried that even though he is very into me right now, he may not be later when I am in my 40s and he is in his 30s. We are starting to talk about a serious relationship? commitment in the future, so this is why I ask. I have just been through a really nasty breakup, and he is going through one now. We both want our next serious relationship to be our last. So , what should I do? I am crazy about this man, but can't help thinking I might just be a little plain crazy!

Age is nothing but a number. Follow your heart. Nothing in this life lasts forever so enjoy the time you have and live for today. Let tomorrow take care of itself.

It really does not matter - The society expects women to be delicate and feels that Elder Men can take care of younger women to his age. However if both couple in your case as mentioned 36 women and 23 man are happy to get into a long lasting relation and ensure both are comfortable to present themselves around - it really does not matter. Both are happy then nothing really matters - all matters is the commitment in relationship for each other. And at age 23 for man everything looks in his hand and Man has fantasies more than women, so 36 aged women should not look older to you at later stage of life and then u run around again behind young teens later for beauty.

Lust is fleeting, but love can be strong.
If both parties are having fun and not hurting each other and those around them, then by all means enjoy being together. Be in the moment and while you can plan for a future together, (which is only right) be aware that due to the differences in age and perspective, thing may change down the road.
So be partners and have fun!

Yes it can work. I am the older man in love with the younger woman. Age difference has been the biggest issues for us too. However, I am so freaken on love with her that it's not bothering me as much anymore. She went on a one day trip and I miss her so much. I can only say to you forget the age thing. Life is very short, very fragile and we do not know who will die first. I want to get so deep into my relationship and marry her so if you feel the same about him go for it. Good Luck

Why do you care what other people think? If you two are in love, he's mature and so on and so forth, and you feel in your hearts that it's the right thing, then go for it, but if you are having your doubts, you better evaluate the situation a bit and cool your jets a little.

If it's true love, not lust, there is no big deal.
But you can take time to ask him, will he live a serious one in the future? We can only tell you that "Ok" , but the only answer you need is from his heartfelt answers.
No matter how crazy you are, if he doesn't, you must be preapared.

Look at Demi Moore and Kutcher. You need to feel certain about this relationship first if you expect him to feel the same. If you are absolutely crazy about him, then give it a try and submit your passion with you.

it's okay to be in a relationship thats so many years apart as long as your both over 18. cause it would be sick if you was in your 20s and they were 16 or something.
