I'm on that same routine!
1. Go to bed early. IMPORTANT!
2. Get up on the first alarm- you're a dead duck if you snooze.
3. Tell yourself and know that you're going to have a great morning after it's all over. Feels great to have your blood moving.
4. coffee.
5. coffee.

ps. I also have my dog waiting expectantly (or sleeping on the couch as i drink my coffee:) I know he'll have a better day when I'm at work if he's had a good run in the morning. It's always peaceful at 5:30, and when you finish, everyone else is jsut waking up. And to think I used to be a nightowl!

do you have to run at 5:30 in the morning? is there another time of the day that you can run? maybe that will help motivate you.

yes agree get a buddy to join you or take a different path each day and change the scenery. taking a long walk would be a good change. there are some great tips on exercise in this article that might give you some more insight

Find someone to run WITH you. There's nothing more motivating that knowing someone else will be joining you.
