I think you are so hung up on yourself, looking for attention, and sympathy, that this is really the way you see the situation, but most likely not near the truth, sorry sounds like they didn't have to make stuff up. The kids may be better off, i hope you can get your life together enough to be the father they need.

personally I would hire an attorney, get my kids back and NEVER speak to them again...they are parents themselves and should know how they would feel if anyone ever took their children away from them. I do have a question though, why are they getting social security? It would seem to me that they would be getting child support from you. I know in my case, as I am a single mother, I don't get social security from their father, I don't actually get anything, but if I did, it would either be in the form of child support or some kind of welfare.
Nobody has the right to take your children away unless you are unfit, willing to give them up, or unable to care for them. I don't know the whole story, but if it were me I would start filing appeals on every level I could to get my babies back. There is no way in hell i would allow someone to take them away from me without cause. I think you should sit down, think through the entire situation and take action from there....

First of all, you need an attorney. If you are a fit parent and are willing to not only support but nurture and love your son, no one should be able to take them away. As far as the social security checks go, if you feel that they have fraudulently misrepresented your ability as a parent just to benefit by his checks, you need to contact the fraud department of the Social Security agency. You didn't say what they used as evidence against you but need to honestly evaluate your abilities as a parent. If you feel that you can provide the best environment and care for this child, you need to contact an attorney or the district attorney in your area for legal advice. I'm sorry that your parents did this to you and I hope that you and your son are soon reunited.

Generally courts have to have very compelling evidence to remove custodial rights from a parent..are you interested in the child's welfare or upset at losing control over his benefits. Social security does not provide a lot of money, barely enough to care for a child...if both parents are living, I am assuming the baby receives benefits because of the presence of a disability. If this is the case, the question to ask is...Is the baby being well cared for? If so, the money is being used for it's intended purpose. Babies need stability. If the baby is being cared for...what more could you want. Forget about these people who are encouraging you to kidnap your baby...it could result in emotional and physical damage to the baby and you winding up in prison for kidnapping. If the courts removed your child...contact child protective services to see if you can get parenting support and training and find out if it wouldy enable you to participate more in the baby's life.

Well I know first hand about Social Security, My son gets it and there is a lot of stuff you have to prove. Now you say your mom and dad took your son only for the checks, Well did you know that when you spend someones check #1.) you have to keep all receipts and show where every penny has gone to. #2) If you can't show proof that this is being used on him like Rent, food, clothes anything that is spent out of that check you have to account for down to the penny and if not you lose everything and risk the chance of losing your son or kids in the process. You might want to think about what has been going on in the past with your sons checks be for you just go and say my parents took my son only for his checks. EVERY PENNY HAS TO BE ACCOUNTED FOR NO MATTER WHAT THE COST IS.

Well first of all, I can't say who's really lying, But if it's true, then
the parent should hire a lawyer to fight for their rights as a parent.
If there no proof of Child Endangerment, Child Abuse, Then there
is no reason why a judge wouldn't return the child back to it's natural parents. If the grandparents is only doing this because of the child's income then that's needs to be proven as well. Speak
to Legal Aid for advice. Make sure all facts are true, get witness,

I would be making sure I was living a good life...by that I mean being a responsible parent. If your parents have a good reason to remove your child from your home, the court will give them custody. If you are any way neglecting your child or abusing them they can be taken away. So my answer to your question is to be the very best parent that you know how to be and don't be proven differently.

Why is this even a question? I think that the fact you're asking this question shows you have issues. Maybe they didn't MAKE the stuff up. Maybe it was true, which is why you are here asking this question.

If my mother (or ANYBODY) ever EVER EVER made up things about my kids to get them taken away, first of all an *** kicking would be in place. Second of all, I would NEVER talk to them again. My mother would never do this, she doesn't want two spoiled kids to raise (she already raised me, that's quite enough).. but if anyone was to do this the bottom line would be they wouldn't see my kids until my KIDS were eighteen and decided to see them - and I surely wouldn't talk to them again. That's ridiculous.

You turn off your computer and march right down to Social Security and tell them you want your son back, you are a responsible parent, and your parents have lied.
They will have to investigate and, if your suspicions are correct, your parents will have to give your son back to you. You say 'we' -- are you married or living with your son's parent? Does she agree with you?
This sounds absolutely reprehensible, and if true, and if you can prove it, they should be charged with a felony. That's really a sad situation, and I feel sorry for you, and for your son.
But, you get up off your hind legs and march right down to the Social Security office and get started on appealing this action!
