i am not a gold digger. i am 17 years old, he is 25 years old and has a 1 1/2 year old with another girl. He left me right after i thought i was pregnant and found him another girlfriend and hasnt had anything to do with me since. I am not going to drop out of school for it, i am graduating this year and going to college so my baby will have a good life. but it seems nearly impossible for me to make it all on my own, that is why i am going after him for child support. he needs to take care of his responsibility.

In Massachusetts, you the courts would award you 22% of his pretax income, or $660 per month.

I know you are hurting and scared who wouldn't be in your place but you have a big job to do now. Your state child support division will help you with filing for support and most state websites have a child support calculator that will give you an idea of the amount that you will draw. Unless he agrees to sign the birth certificate most states require a paternity test, which the state will pay for if you are on state aid, after paternity is verified the state will file for support for you. If you are not on aid you should look into your local legal aid, you can find the number on-line or in the phone book, they can help you without costing you an arm and a leg. This can take some time. Can your parents help in the meantime? Good luck and congratulations on your new baby I know you will love your little with all your heart.

Most of his money will go to the first child, sorry. My friend pays $600 for his first child, and $100 for the second child with a separate mother. How did this happen? I hope you learned your lesson, stay on birth control until after your married, I can't figure out how people get "accidentally" pregnant. You sound like you got talked into something by a bad person, I really hope you learned something and the next baby you have will be with a man who deserves you and loves that baby girl like his own. I will pray for you God bless

I know that pregnanies can be accident...I have four oppies but I was b/c...Oh well on that issue..Child support is a struggle...find out about how much he should pay..us a calulator online. Ex.. alllaw.com then see if you can come to an agreement..it is better that way. If not remember he gets some taken off for that first child...Remember to include everything...Income from another party(like a girlfriend) child care, medical and so on.

Their will be a formula at your county office that will determine what the child support is. You can get this at the library. It is usually based on your and his incomes however if you add the 3000 to your income and divide by two you will get the percentage of expences he will be resposible for. I live in Oklahoma and I get the standard child support. I get 195.00 per child plus he pays for insurance and a percentage of medical bills after insurance and daycare. I wish you the very best.

first of all get a child support lawyer one that specializes just in child support, then he will advise you. Please go before the baby is born for a consultation. My daughter went thru the usual child support services DHS it took her three years, they kept losing her paper work she had to keep resigning the same things over and over. The lawyer willmake him pay for his services. Don't wait it could mean at least 700 to 900 a month

It all depends on how much he makes, they can only take a certain percent out of his check, but it really is different everywhere! I mean I know from experience. I live in MI and in every county here it is different, so your best bet is to go to your Friend of the Court and find out that way

First you have to prove hes the Dad , then you have to apply for child support through friend of the court. They don't make it easy, I wish you the best of luck.

it depends on what state you live in. the child support division will have a process of taking how much he makes and how much you make and determining how much he will owe. but the main thing is what state you live in because each state has different standards.

Depends on where your live and the support guidlines, how many kids?....Just the one baby? who will have custody?

BTW..... see if you can get him to pay something, ie: 200-300/mo consistently, once you have him paying you have something to fight with in case you have a need for court.
