Cause of death should be on the death certificate.

I don't know the precise procedure or the privacy laws (I live in the USA), but you can probably write, since you're a relative, to the Saskatchewan Department of Vital Records and request a copy of her death certificate, which will usually list cause of death. You will probably have to pay a small fee to obtain this;if you know the exact date of death, it will make it easier and quicker for the authorities to find the d.c. for you.

Go to Ancestry.com

You can get all of your relatives information through them and that includes their death, reason for being deceased and you may even get a death certificate if you wish. YOu would have to prove you are a close if not direct family member of the deceased though.

The site can tell you all kinds of things about your family & family members...check it out, it's worth a try

try going online for SK and find death records for that year. otherwise contact vital records to seek a death certificate.
