Softening them will make them more tender, so your dog will be more likely to hurt himself. If you really want to do something, buy him the dog boots or shoes so he's not walking on them all the time.

Use Bag Balm...you will find it in a little square, green tin at your drug store, or in bigger green tins at the feed store. Apply it while she is resting, and then wipe excess off when she is ready to get up..It will leave the paws tough, but supple and soft.

They are supposed to be rough. If you soften them, he will get cuts and that will hurt him. Leave them alone.

The softer your dogs paws are the less protection they give against EVERYTHING.

THERE SUPOSE To be its from being outside, sidewalks ect, theres no point in making them soft

They are supposed to be like that to protect their feet. It's kinda like shoes for dogs...
