Men, when you approach a girl who you find to be really attractive, and you start up a conversation with her, and she starts talking, and you find that she has really horrible breath, do you still want to get her number, or do you ignore the fact that she could use a tic-tac?
Females, ( if you are daring and bold) when you approach a hot guy, and you find that he has horrible breath, do you still want to get to know him better, or do you change your mind and think because he has horrible breath that he probably doesn't have good hygiene on other parts of his body, as well?

Actually, I've never approached one that had bad breath. But if that was to be the case, I'd offer her a mint that's better, than tic tacs. I'd still want her number and email address. True name, too.

I think I do. I mean I won't just call her out. I might just make up an excuse to walk away. But It depends on how hot she is. I might try to stick in there for the long haul. But i don't know cause I couldn't imagine kissing a mouth with horrible breath. But maby it's just a one time thing. Maby she was at the bar and she just got through eating some hot wings or some chili cheese fries and she was to tipsy to think to check her breath. I'de try and stick it out. Now If I saw her again and her breath was still rank. Then it's a wrap. Game over.

Definitely "bad breath" is a real BIG "turn-off"! However, it doesn't really (well now it might, probably because you put the idea there)- make me think that he has "bad hygiene" somewhere else- bad breath doesn't necessarily come as a result of "bad hygiene". There are many reasons for it, so it might be "assuming too much" to think it's "bad hygiene", when you don't really know that person. "Bad breath" CAN and DOES keep people from "getting closer", though, that's for sure.

Some people have bad breath due to things like stomach ulcers that they cannot control. Or maybe he just ate something like onions or god help us all Kimshi! If the guy was really hot , I would talk to him for awhile and try to avoid direct contact with his breath. Ask for a date maybe and then see if it is bad the next meeting. Looking for scummy yellow or rotten teeth, would be more telltale of their personal hygiene, than just going by a one time bad breath encounter.

Well from a guys point of view It would depend on where you met the girl at if you walk up to her in a restraunt theres a chance its something she just ate and can be overlooked, If your at an event of some kind and she just plain out has bad breath but is attractive and dressed nicely chances are she has decent hygene and can be overlooked.

If she just forgets to have her mint or she doesn't know about her bad breath, then it's sure I'll not only ask for her number but also ask her for dinner.
But if she has bad habit of ill hygiene, sure she's not the one.
Lady is known to be hygiene as she's cute and lovely.

well the fact that her breath smells bad just doesnt mean she is bad just let her of give her a tipoff tell her you wanna take her for a dinner them let her eat sugar and when the bill comes lok romantic and ask her if she would like a mint if not then she like's having bad breath and then shes bad for you then just slowly try and stay away with her and tell her friends unless you like her allot then you just tell her if not her friends are bound to let her know and she will be embarresed and hopefully she will change her breath type from bad to way better ;P

well... unless it's someplace where we expect someone to approach us, it's not fair to judge one for his/her breath. i mean, if i happen to be in a restaurant bar to EAT with my buddies, and i just had a steak with garlic mashed potatos, it would be bad timing for a woman to strike up a conversation after i've just finished my meal.
on the other hand, if i'm standing at a bar drinking a beer and trying to look available, i would understand if you walked away if my breath smelled like ***.

hay i would get her number but if i offered her a breath mint or somthing i would try to be discreat at it try not yo heart her felling hay i had bad breath to but i just got done eating

depends on how bad his breath is. he could have had garlic or onion in his dinner. offer up a breath mint and go from there.
