You should so something that is personal to your relationship. A wedding favor is something that you give your guests as a "thank you for attending one of the most important days of our lives". Therefore, you should do something that will remind them of just how important this day is. For example, my husband and I made perfume sprays (essential oils and water) for each guest since we both love blending oils together. Another thought we had was to create a mini cookbook of our favorite recipes since we love to invent our own. What do you and your fiance love to do together?

I'm doing a "Spoonful of Kisses from the Mr and Mrs."
Plastic Spoon
Tulle Netting
Ribbon in the same color as the wedding
3-5 Hershey Kisses
Phrase Tag (A spoonful of ..............)
Put the kisses in the bowl of the spoon wrap with tulle netting and tie with favor tags and ribbon.
You can make these cheap but requires work. If you want to spend a little more than you can do a
"wedding favor" search on yahoo or google and get several websites you can order from.

Try putting a disposable camera on each table with instructions for each guest to take candid photos during the reception. You will end up with some priceless memories! You can find cameras to match any wedding theme and it will be fun for your guests too. It can be a great icebreaker if your guests don't know each other. It can be a good idea to use the cameras at your bridal shower or your wedding rehearsal, too. That way out-of-town friends and family can enjoy the photos and you can create an album of the entire wedding. Good luck to you!

Seed packets
Book Marks
Gormet candy in nice boxes with ribbon
Bottle Corks
Measuring Spoons
Coffee Scoops
Measuring tapes
Coasters
Votive Candle Sets (don't give just one, just one is a bit useless)
Picture Frames
Cookie Cutters
Little Jars with Jelly Beans
Bags with Cookies inside
Lottery Tickets
And yes, these all can come in a wedding theme.
Check out www.marilynskeepsakes.com and www.jeanm.com for some good ideas.
Good Luck!

I take little hershey miniature candy bars and print new covers for them on the computer using free wedding clip art from the net. Add the Bride and Grooms names and date. you can just put them in a bowl to hand out, or at each place setting.
Sometimes I attache them to the corner of a business card that has a nice wedding poem printed on it. All can be done right on your home computer. (I own a business that does full service wedding receptions)

We're thinking of getting choc dipped and decorated fortune cookies with personal messages inside. You can put the cookies in small chinese take out boxes (they come in ALL colours), and decorate with ribbon. Best of all, if you are on a budget you can do this yourself! Check it out on the net--there are lots of ideas, companies that will do it for you, and easy recipes if you want to do it yourself. Good luck!

Something edible. People don't need anymore stuff around their house, and most wedding type favors (the burned cd's, picture frames, etc) wind up in the trash anyway--trust me on this one.

You could make home-made wine charms. Most art stores have all of the materials needed. Depending on how elaborate you want to make them, they really shouldn't take very long to make. And, you could use different color heart charms at each place setting to help your guests identify their glass of wine right away!
