Your daughter (in all liklihood) is immune, having developed antibodies when she had it. That does not mean she cannot carry infection with her, however, so you might check with the school to make sure she is welcome!

If she does go to school, and happens to infect some other 6/7/8 year-olds, she'd be doing them a huge favor, though. At that age, chicken pox is an unpleasant inconvenience. Kids that don't get it are susceptible later in life, and as an adult, chicken pox can be very serious, leading to pneumonia & shingles.

Shhhh! just send her to school!

Yep your daughter is fine. Chicken pox are a DNA virus which means they don't usually mutate over time. Therefore once somebody has gotten them they can't contract them again because your body forms an immunity to it.

From what my Dr. has told me that once they have it they are fine, but if they get strep throat when they are older they need to make sure they let the doctor know that they have had chick pox because there can be an adverse affect between the two ailments.

Yep, you only usually get them once. Once you get them the first time your usually immune. Thats why they worry about adults who never had them. The earlier you get them the better. Adults that have never had them before are very suseptible to getting them. Its harder the older you are. My old co-workers brother got them in his 30's (had never had them before and caught from the kids) he almost died. It was really bad and he was hospitalized for quite some time. Shes ok to go to school.

Yup, your daughter is fine. She has already had them so she is no longer a carrier, and she can go to school as well.

As long as she doesn't have a fever or show any symptoms, but I don't think she can get them again, but I would keep her away from him as much as possible just in case.

There is virtually no risk for her to get the infection, so she wouldn't be infectious either.
