I'm afraid most people involved in a religion are in it for just that purpose. It's always been that way. If Jesus was angry at what He saw going on in the Temple, imagine how pissed He must be when He sees what is going on on TBN??

Oh yes, sad to say, there is several from all religions who do just that. Even within my own religion, Wicca, you will find those who practice for a price.
It is a fundamental truth, that there is big money to be made from those who are gullible. Who are searching but do not know for what. Those are usually the ones who are gulliable enough to be taken by the systers.
You will find them in every religion. Sad but true.

Most of the so-called Christians that I have encountered seem to be practicing for social status....or at least the companionship of others who believe the same way. They preach love, and faith, forgiveness, and charity, but they will turn their noses up at you if you don't have on fine clothes when you go to their houses of worship.

Yes-- I know several families who attend our local big Cathedral because they figure that's where the money people go.
Many uninformed join the Masons thinking they will gain dollars.
They get quite a shock when they find out what i costs them month by month.. and hysterical at the cost of becoming 33 degree! ( THOUSANDS)

I would say all the false "Christians" who are not real Christians. Christianity is not a religion. Christ was a spirit to open our eyes to the knowledge of the spiritual world.
Gnosticism is TRUTH.

Of course, just look at all the Televangelists and figure it out for yourself.
Or look at our President, who claims to be a "Born Again christian" but then starts a war based in lies. Hmmmm....I'd say that's proof enough for me.
