Yes, they can type. There was also an experiment some years ago where a couple raised a baby chimp as though it was a human baby. It learned simple words, like "momma, poppa, and cup", but had to whisper these words because their vocal chords aren't designed for speech. This chimp eventually turned wild, though the experimenters thought they had made some progress in proving the intelligence of chimps. I'm not saying that anything they would type would make sense, but I think it's possible. Chimps can use language boards, also.
Chimps and gorillas can also learn sign language, and use it in the proper context.

Yea they can type...I can...lol jk...but yea they prolly can since theyre almost like us... but you would prolly have to teach them words and stuff before they could actually type letters or emails to people without anyone elses help.
