Bono had a question about stopping poverty in africa. Instead of people just goin around handing out money like its candy to poor kids, whats stopping us from pooling together, and just buying it.
Maybe we could trade a couple packs of skittles, and some gum for Namibia? Lets send the all the farmers here to grow all Americas food in Africa on a much larger scale. We could have all of Africa growing our corn! They would have food!

Violent and corrupt, mike, your a moron. It might not be the best idea, and wasnt really meant to be serious, but you should use the right terms when you try to describe what it will create. Violence? Like africa doesnt have violence, and corruption, like africa doesnt already have that too... idiot

That would be great. Alot of Politics involved. I think that if we can spend BILLIONS of money for war and deaths then what is stopping to get aid/money to Africa and other poor nations. It is ridicoulous that innocent little kids are dying every second, killed, raped, or forced into war of which they don't know.
But still, seeing the images of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, I couldn't believe thtat I was living in America, the same great country where dead bodies were lying on the streets, kids and adults crying for help with signs, being stranded, starving and dehydrated. If that was hard to imagine, imagine being in Africa and this is just a part of your everyday exerpience. so sad.
Would you want to live like this? Put yourselves in someone elses shoes (if they have them, no pun intended, only reality)

That is a horrible idea. Africans wouldn't want to be "owned" by the American government. The govt. has already treated the many places on the continent as if they own it, and been involved in screwing them over.Part of the problem is the colonizers, US included, so we have to think of the responsibilities that should come with dallying in their affairs, most often uninvited, unless there are a few conspiring of that area planning on getting rich with the first world-developers.

yes i think idea could work somehow we can protect those people who r dieing there cause of food it's not their mess it's not a war that they should defend by themselves it's our war it's a war against poverty every single person should take part in it that's one of the way we can make this world a better place to live & we can send a good message to our new generation that how to be a good man from inside.
