An open border is not the fault of anyone except the so-called representative U. S. government. So lax is this government that it is actually assisting people to break the law. A government that cannot control its borders has deprived a country of its status as a Nation. The decision makers in such a government are quite simply traitors.
I could go for the Julie-Haglund / Haglund-Julie ticket (right now Art is wondering how he wound up with Julie?). BUT - as successfull as he might be raising money or getting votes he cannot succeed with a platform of honest change.
Not to many years back a guy name Ross came forward with some no-nonsense ideas. His campaign took off big time. The campaign had problems. But what really stopped it was that Ross got "an offer he couldn't refuse." So he withdrew.
I think that significant or saving reform is no longer possible in America due to corruption in all branches of government. What any honest man will get from Washington today is "an offer he can't refuse." The remaining candidates are already "game players" who have sold their souls.

Assuming the policy was enacted, there would probably be a small, short-lived drop in illegal immigrants, but it's not a real solution. The fact remains that illegal immigrants come over because AMERICAN companies hire them, knowing that on the off-chance they get caught, the penalty is a slap on the wrist. To really cut illegal immigration, this demand of American employers needs to be cut with aggressive prosecution and real penalties.
Of course, then these employers need to hire Americans at real wages, driving up inflation...

I think this guy needs to do a lot more research and offer solutions (real ones) to problems before spouting off how he can.
I'd like to see more detailed descriptions of what exactly he plans to do. If he wants to run for president, let him go for it, but my vote isn't going to pass along that easily.

Sounds good to me, i think our government babies people way too much. i undertsand some people cannot work, but that is very few. i work for my paycheck so should you, if you cant afford to have children, then dont have them, i sure dont want to have to pay for 'em or for you to sit your a$$ at home and have more.
And dang it if you cant come here legally then there is a reason and you should not be here.

I think this is a great idea. And for those of you who feel this is wrong, and she is being racist, let me ask you this:
When you leave your house, do you lock your door? If so, does that make YOU a racist?
Of course not. You're being smart.
