Whatever makes a person happy, I am perfectly OK with them to do whatever they feel like doing, it is their life not mine.

Absolutely, their views are valid. I am not a nudist (be very thankful for that), but I think that since we're all basically the same under our clothes there is nothing to ashamed of. Other than for protection from the weather clothes really don't make sense from a purely objective standpoint. Let me know what you think. ubathby@yahoo.com

As a Wiccan, I believe that everyone has a valid belief system and that I have no right to judge them for it. If nudism makes them feel better about them selves then by all means they should be allowed to practice it. After all the human body is a beautiful thing. Not something to be ashamed of. It is actually a work of art. Give it some though, who all the pieces work together to keep us alive. It's really a pretty awesome thing if you think about it.

Only if they're in a community of nudists. According to all the articles I've read, it's not anywhere near the big orgy some people think it is. And think of this: If you see it all the time it wouldn't be as shocking, anymore, would it.

No. Most people who are nudists are not people that others would want to see nude.

Being nude is not bad, per se, as far as I'm concerned, but bear in mind that because of the use of clothes, a lot of people are able to live in environments for which their bodies haven't evolved; so, you might end up sunburned/frostbitten/bitten by snakes, etc.

I think nudity should be about personal preference and comfort.

I think it's a blight on humanity that society teaches us from the earliest of ages that everything about our bodies and natural bodily functions and anything remotely related to sexuality is wrong, dirty, sinful and needs to be hidden. We were made this way for a reason and we should be taught to embrace our bodies and its functions as they were designed.

Having said that, nudity might be somewhat impractical in say, certain places, at certain time of the year. Can you say January in Canada? Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... ;)

Plus, I have to admit, I LOVE dressing up!

I think it's ok to be nude in appropriate situations
eg: in bed, at a nude beach
but not in mainstream society. I would rather not have people at school in the nude

does going to a nudist beach make you a nudist? i know that i'm self conscious when i go to a regular beach cause everyone's checking you out, and so to me, these beaches no one really cares, at least not the real nudies.

I think it can lead to many things that are unexpected, but if you are a nudist in your own house? That's fun. ha
