If I had the choice, I would always chose Hawaii. It's the most incredible place I've ever been to. But, depends on what you like. If you want a tranquil paradisaic vacation laying on the beach and maybe a luau, Hawaii is the place. Cancun is cheaper as others have mentioned and has more of a nightlife. It has beautiful beaches too but it's more touristy I think. The weather is always consistent in Hawaii, perfect! Cancun is iffy in the summer but usually not too bad. So there you have it! If you go to Hawaii, can I ride along in your bag?

I've been to both and Hawaii isn't as hot or humid as Cancun in July. Cancun is cheaper, but it is also hurricane season & your vacation may be cut short or cancelled if the weather turns bad. It's best to visit Cancun between November & May.

Hawaii...more temperate climate year round. Cancun would be way too hot in July...go there in the fall/winter.

Cancun is way cheaper and just a pretty, but Hawaii is safer.
