It's fairly easy to learn French. It's a lovely language, and you'll find there are many words you already know.
For example, have you heard of a chef? That's a french word. Or a loupe (the eyeglass that a jeweller uses to examine fine gems) -- that's another french word. Have you heard the term something is in vogue, meaning in fashion? That's a french word. Or culottes - the divided skirts that women sometimes wear. (they look like gaucho pants). There are dozens and dozens of french words that have been adopted into the English language, and others are very similar to English words, so you'll be able to recognize them easily.
Give it a try -- you'll have fun learning, and even a few words of French can come in handy when you travel.

If English is your first language, French is relatively easy because both have roots in Latin (although French is more so, as English also has roots in Greek).Because of the common roots, many French words have "cognates" (words that sound similar and have similar meaning) to English words.

That said, conversational French (or any language) is not that easy, because you need lots of practice speaking it - not something that's easy to do unless you move to a region where French is the primary language. It's pretty simple to learn many words in a foreign language, but to get the subtleties of the grammar (think conjugations), you need to be immersed in the language where you are forced to hear and speak it.

If you are committed to learning it (you want to communicate with your true love who only speaks French or you're going for that job transfer), you will learn it. If it's just something you want to try, you probably won't have much success, because there's no incentive to learn it.

Well I have a genius I.Q. and my French teacher told me that I earned a 'D' but she would give me a 'C' since I put in effort.

The answer depends on whether the part of your brain that learns languages is open to learning a new language at your age. Some people effortless learn many and others like me have lost the ability to learn a language.

Fairly easy. If you know Spanish it is easier still. Because they are quite similar.
