theres always a different side to every question and its a non going list of sides so why ask questions that have so many awnsers that are neither wrong or right. people view religion in many ways they are either with it against it with it and braking the rules out to stop it, dont care about it and always changing their religion, but why ask a question with no one awnser expecting an to get all these answers and look only for the ones you like. whats the point.

To see just how much controvesy they can actually cause. Some people like to cause trouble. They feed on chaos. If they can cause unrest they it makes them feel in control of the situation. Sick but true.

Well some people doubt what they think and want to see if others think the way they do. That is one reason. Another reason is like you said to start a contraversy and to see what happens. There are also the people who honestly are trying to hear both sides to see what the majority thinks about their question. Others may want to make a point about what they believe in. Yeah some might do it on purpose but there are others that honestly want an answer. I wouldn't let it bother you so much. You have your own beliefs and thats all that should matter to you. If someone doesn't want your advice its on them. You atleast did your part by offering it.

That depends on what the actual goal is. Some people seek enlightenment through the Socratic method, others seek just to cause strife.

Discussion, debate, and serious exchange of thought can lift some people to very great heights in their personal endeavor to find a spirituality that is right for them. For every one who rises to that occasion there are at least 100 who do not - and it is the 100 on whom you focus with your question.

I think there are probably some who love to stir up the waters but I also think some ask controversial questions in order to open doorways of communication between the two sides. Part of it is trying to understand how others think and believe.

I ask questions to demonstrate that the bible is nonsense. And, if you read the answers to the questions I've posted, I accomplished my goal.

To make people think.
To learn about other ideas and ways of thinking about things.
Or maybe they're just bored.
