When I finished installing the system and after trying to re-boot for the 1st time a messag saying :"Initinlizig Hardware.... Storage Network" appears and the system hults.
Any one knows the reason??

you must be using Fedora Core 4 .. its a problem in it .. This issue is due to soundcard or powermanagement in Dell laptop .. best it to use Fedora Core 2 .. but if you want solution to your problem then please follow below todos.
during boot set the kernel string to end with:
amp=off & acpi=off
PS: Please mention your FC version and Dell Laptop name and number.

By "hult", do you mean "panic"ing? Does it reboot or simply freeze?
At this point during the boot process, the startup scripts are running
various programs that talk to the kernel to initialize the device and
"hook up" any applications that may be associated with the device.
Some of these initialization scripts may hang forever waiting for
an interupt that never comes due to faulty hardware, a flawed
device driver or perhaps an IRQ problem.
You can debug this by putting "set -x" in the appropriate shell scripts
but there are a lot of them and the particular script that is hanging may
be difficult to find.
You might also consider removing unnecessary hardware to see if
the problem goes away. This will at least tell you if the problem is
related to the ethernet card, or the modem or whatever.

You may have to fix your laptop for multi boot OS. Are you using Windows on that Dell computer while having Fedora on it? If so than there are some serious compatibilty issues even if you have set up a multi boot computer. Try re-partioning your HDD if you haven't already. That might help.
