"I don't belong to any country, I'm a citizien of the world" (not sure if these are the exact words but the meaning is this.

~Thanks Dr Atrocity~. That's it -the original belongs to Socrates:
"I am not an Athenian or a Greek, I am a citizen of the world."
I knew it was from a philosopher but couldn't remember who was it. Thanks so much for helping :-)

Several people have since rephrased or paraphrased the sentiment, but I believe the original belongs to Socrates:
"I am not an Athenian or a Greek, I am a citizen of the world."
